Now that the NOVA markers are done, it's time to move on to my own projects... and I am feeling really motivated, really! :)
Before starting my colossal LW Brit Army, I wanted to tidy up loose ends. Those include adding snow and mud effects to my Bulge-era US troops, completing a third winter US Rifle platoon, 8 bazookas, a HMG platoon and the HMG Jeeps with trailers.
I am also making some terrain pieces to add ambience/cover to any FoW town square or park. I've come up with some monuments topped with WWI French soldier statues & fountains. (The water wasn't set up in the photo of the fountain). The wooden bits were very inexpensive craft pieces sold at a national arts & crafts supply retailer. The chain is Gale Force 9. The French figures are 1/72 Airfix WWI French Infantry (A01728). I painted the French figures a base coat of black, followed by Citadel Tin Bitz (61-58), then given a patina wash of cheap "Craftsmart" Sage Green, with a few tiny white dots of pigeon poop for good measure.

NOVA Objective Markers - DONE!
After spending entirely too much time finishing the fourth and final marker (Clubmobile), Scott of the NOVA Open team was able to pry it from my hands along with the other three. Scott has graciously shared with me the pics he took, which are vastly better than ones I am capable of with my phone cam. Many thanks to Scott, Laurie & the rest of their team for giving me the chance once again to be a part the NOVA Open, even in this small way.
I feel a great sense of accomplishment, now having completed the four markers. A lot of research and work went into them. I hope their winners will appreciate them as much as I enjoyed creating them. With these done, and the kids going back to school next week, I'm fired up to get cracking on my personal FoW projects!
All the best!

Clubmobile... Ready for Paint!
Here are the most up-to-date pics that I took this week. I'm leaving today for a much-needed vacation, so I'll have to jump on this as soon as I get back next week. Cheers!

Verlangsamen! (or translated into English... Slow!)
Here's objective marker #3, now complete! "Rookie Driver" features a young SS recruit having driven his supply truck through the guardrail on a rickety & narrow bridge. The sign warns drivers to take it "slow". Until next time....
